Sunday Night 90s (13): Stone Temple Pilots – Interstate Love Song

I was driving back from San Marcos today when, all of a sudden, “Big Empty” came on the radio.  While I love that song, it got me thinking about how great “Interstate Love Song” was and is still.  Featuring a heroin-riddled Scott Weiland, the song was THE SONG back in the mid 90s during Stone Temple Pilots’ rise to power.  Once Weiland got sober, he started writing bad songs and fell off the map.  I’m of the opinion that some musicians should always be on drugs, and Scott Weiland is definitely one of them.
